SPECIAL EVENTS OPEN TO ALL

  • ART EXHIBITIONS : 

  • A collection of drawings and paintings by talented young artist Abigail Burton ,

  • A selection of pieces by Francesca Busca, a pioneer of sustainable art who creates beautiful artworks entirely out of waste items.​

  • BRIDGE EVENTS:

  • The Young Chelsea Mixed Pairs championship will be held on Sunday 19 April - two short bridge sessions with a break for tea and cake, starting at 1.00pm and finishing around 6.00pm - open to all. Organised by the Young Chelsea Bridge Club.

 

  • Two new 8-week teaching courses start soon:  

    • Beginners  course runs on Monday evenings, 7.30-9.30pm, starting on 20th April

    • "Next Step" course runs on Tuesday evenings, 7.30-9.30pm, starting on 21st April

  • A seminar programme has been arranged for all levels of players, open to all:

       For Improvers: Friday 17 April, 2.00-5.00pm  - "Getting the basics right" 

                                  Friday 15 May, 2.00-5.00pm  - "The Opening Lead" 

      For Advanced players: Wednesday 6 May at 7.30pm - ""Placing the Defenders Cards" - presented by World champion                                            player and expert teacher Heather Dhondy

  • GO EVENTS

  • The 7th "Not the London Open" will be held on the weekend of 23-25 May. A 6-round tournament, open to all, for which pre-entry is required. More details on the London Go Centre website

  • Every Monday 10:30am to 3.30pm - DROP-IN session for elderly people and their carers, organised by the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.  Free WELLBEING programme including COFFEE and POETRY and POI 4 JOI.  Contact the Centre for further information. 

  • Every Monday from 5pm - 6pm WOMEN & GIRLS HOUR followed by JUNIOR CHESS HOUR  from 6pm - 7pm.   Contact Hammersmith Chess Club for more information.

  • Every Monday at 7.00pm -  CHESS club night  with Hammersmith Chess Club . Different activities every week.

  • Every Tuesday 11am to 3pm - SUPERVISED BRIDGE with the Goldhawks Bridge Group. Come alone or bring a partner.

  • Every Wednesday 11am to 3.30pm - DROP-IN session for elderly people and their carers, organised by the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.  Regular sessions include PILATES  11:00 - 12:00, TAI CHI 14:00 to 15:00.  Contact the Centre for further information. 

  • Every Wednesday 7pm to 11pm - SOCIAL GO club evening hosted by the London Go Centre.

  • Every Thursday from 6pm -  CHESS  club night for League matches and internal games. Organised by Hammersmith Chess Club.

  • Every Thursday 4:30pm to 6pm   - After-school Kids Bridge session with experienced bridge players with a passion for passing on their knowledge. Great FUN for all from Beginners upwards. Contact the Centre for further information.

  • Every Thursday 7pm  until 9.30pm - Supervised BRIDGE session, great for new and improving players. Help always on hand from one of our experts.  Come alone or bring your partner.  Drop in from 7pm onwards with the Goldhawks Bridge Group. 

  • Every Friday 10am to 12.30pm - RELAXED BRIDGE DUPLICATES - Great for non-experts (NGS up to Jack) - 18 boards at a relaxed pace.  Host available if you don't bring a partner.  Run by the Goldhawks Bridge Group.

  • Every Friday 7.30pm - BRIDGE DUPLICATES at 7.30pm.  Top class, very friendly and everyone welcome.  Host available so you don't need to bring a partner.  Run by the Young Chelsea Bridge Club.

  • Every Saturday 2pm to 7pm - SOCIAL GO club day hosted by the London Go Centre
